Feedback
Like most of us can say, the job is fun sometimes, and the job sucks sometimes. Though it was a tumultuous year job-wise, I'm pretty happy with my current gig. I'm appreciated at work, my co-workers are fun and good natured, and I'm given plenty of opportunities to learn more about web design and HTML. My company is growing as well and I feel I'll be in a great position to move around when the time comes that I feel ready for a move.
Yet with all the positivity, my project with has been tough. It was rushed, initial expectations were too high, NBC was too demanding, and most of the people I work with regularly at TV stations across the country didn't see the full advantages of taking part. They didn't return calls, they were slow in general to respond to anything I tried to do with them, and people questioned my intentions. It's now been a few months, I have more help by my side, I have learned a ton about how to market this deal in better ways, and some of my ideas are being implemented slowly but surely. I still had little idea how a lot of the people I work with regularly feel about this thing and the constant communication I have with them. I decided to survey them. The results are still coming, but the feedback so far has been very positive and appreciative. Maybe everyone is just trying to be nice. Who knows, but at least they make it sound like they like working with me.
The project in general is still a work in progress. Yet I'm starting to feel like better days are ahead - about one month ago, I wasn't quite so sure about that.
