Malls
Maybe I'll take up mountain climbing. At least fake mountain climbing. A rather nondescript Sunday inspired Nancy and I to head to REI to climb a 55-foot rock-like rubber wall. Last time I even can remember climbing anything like this was a Beta leadership dealy back in 2002, it was -5 outside, and a few guys fell on their face. Needless to say, the climate made this attempt much easier. It was awesome to feel a little rush of adrenaline again, so hopefully I'll head back soon.
In other news, my X-mas shopping is almost done. This year's experience proves yet again that the older I get, the more I hate shopping malls. After seeing the emotionless faces of most the 30, 40, and 50 year old men at MOA on Sunday who were shadowing their wives or trying to control their kids, I really hope I don't dread driving the family to the mall quite that much in a decade or so. I'm sure they'd just much rather be doing things like watching football. I get enough of that every day at work.
